Caitlin (“Cata” in Spanish) is a Spanish language consultant and expert in second language acquisition in Denver, Colorado. After working as a Certified Court Interpreter, she developed a passion for language access and decided to go to law school. She is currently in her third year at the University of Colorado School of Law.
Cata’s exceptional facility with language was obvious from a young age. She has tutored Spanish professionally since the age of fifteen and holds a B.A. in Linguistics from Middlebury College. She has also lived in Montevideo, Uruguay, where she completed coursework in Spanish Linguistics at the Universidad de la República (Facultad de Lingüística). Cata has provided interpretation and translation services for the Colorado Courts, the DOJ Executive Office of Immigration Review, and Denver Public Schools.
Cata has Andalusian roots. She lives in the Denver metro area with her husband, Jack and dog, Rafi. She enjoys weightlifting, hiking, photography, and is a huge fan of Shakira.
