Update by my daughter after the three months of lessons:
“I had awesome Spanish lessons with Caitlin this summer. Each week, we went over some questions I encountered while I was studying by myself, worked on some worksheets of new grammar rules, listened to Spanish songs, read cartoons, etc. Every activity we did was so fun that time flew by so fast. My favorite was the songs. It is hard to understand the meaning, but Caitlin explained each line in detail. Now, Shakira is my favorite singer!
I also liked the way she explained me new grammar. There are some rules that we do not have in English, so she taught me the clues to tell the difference, and gave me examples. She also told me that the rules aren’t always clear, which made me less worried when I worked on my own.
We did not just study during lessons. She is such a fun-loving person that we talked and laughed a lot too! I loved her lessons so much that I got excited before every lesson.
My goal for this summer was to finish Spanish 2 on my own, which seemed extremely difficult, since it is usually done by spending a whole year. However, Caitlin’s Spanish lessons made it possible and I was able to finish Spanish 2 in only three months!
I am very grateful for everything she has done to support me.
